Day Seventeen

Today I did no work on the house. I feel guilty. I did, however, participate in spending a lot of money on new appliances. The refrigerator and range are being delivered on Friday so you can all look forward to pictures this weekend.

Ben spent the day sanding the living room. The previous owners-from-hell painted both the living room and master bedroom with brown and orange textured paint. Even the woodwork. We think it's probably going to take a full week to complete the sanding.

The most exciting part of today was floor installation! We hired people to lay laminate flooring in Ben's studio, the kitchen, and the entryway.

First we had to move the stove to the living room.

Ben found out this evening that we were also supposed to move the dishwasher. It proved to be somewhat difficult, but he got it out.


The entryway and Ben's studio are finished, except for the edging around the baseboards:






They're coming back tomorrow to finish the kitchen.

Accomplished today:
1. Approx. 1/2 of living room walls sanded.
2. Flooring laid in Ben's studio and entryway.
3. Range, dishwasher, and refrigerator purchased.
