Day Thirty-Four.

Apologies for no updating yesterday; we're mostly in moving mode so the pictures aren't too interesting.

The news of the day is that Keith said he'd be by yesterday and called to cancel at 7:00 p.m., then held a repeat performance tonight. He's coming on Saturday - the day we actually move in - to install the remaining vanity, reset two of our toilets, and install the garbage disposal and the new kitchen faucet (also known as things we expected to be done two weeks ago). I kind of want to punch him.

Today Ben moved over the rest of our books and started on the kitchen. I put the kitchen things away when I got there this evening; the kitchen is probably at least half done. We packed up the rest tonight.

Here are books/DVDs/videos/CDs piled up in the dining room:

And here is Ben with said items:

You will also notice in the background that the paint has been scraped off the door and windows. I did that yesterday. Today we started on scraping the master bedroom windows and it is not fun. Slow going - although I'll admit it probably is faster than if I'd taped them all off.

The downstairs bathroom is almost finished. The vanity is done:

And the vanity doors for all the bathrooms are also finished:

Unfortunately, a lot of the paint is ripping off when we take the tape off, so we're going to have to do a fair amount of touching up.

That's it! Tomorrow we pick up the moving van and I probably won't get a chance to post until Monday, when the internet is turned on in the new place. Stay tuned!

Instant road repair. Whoot!

I can't believe you guys are going to be living there by the end of the weekend. I'm so happy for you.
